AGON, Classic Researcher

The «Classic Researcher» tour is part of the Educational and Social Program «Agon, an Olympic Legacy» of Athens Olympic Museum, supported through an exclusive grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

The visitors of the main exhibition may discover Athens’s history as the city that hosted the Panathenea in antiquity, the, local, Zappeian Olympiads, two editions of the modern Olympic Games (1896 and 2004) and the Intercalated Games of 1906.

Twenty-five stops along the Museum’s main exhibition, create a treasure hunt for everyone interested to explore the history and landmarks of the city of Athens.

This activation is suitable for all ages and connects the Athens Olympic Museum with landmarks, buildings, streets and other points of interest, promoting physical and cultural “Olympic” walks while exploring the city of Athens.

The activation is admission-free and does not require prior booking.
