Museum Rules of Procedure

  • Visitors of the Athens Olympic Museum are obliged to behave with decency. The use of radio or musical instruments and any other noise, act or omission that may disrupt the silence of the Museum shall be prohibited.
  • Visitors are kindly requested to turn off their mobile phones during their visit at the Museum.
  • Entrance to the Museum is not allowed to people under the influence of intoxication, drugs or obviously in a state of mind in which they could cause damage to the premises or disturb the quiet and order.
  • In the event of a hand-fight, brawl, intimidation or any other abusive, aggressive or inappropriate behavior to the Museum's staff and/or others visitors and/or the public, Museum staff may refuse admission to the Museum or may be asked to leave and/or you may be escorted from the Museum.
  • Visitors are kindly advised to leave their valuables at home and keep their personal belongings with them during their visit at the Museum.
  • Museum provides lockers but is not liable for any loss of personal belongings.
  • The consumption of food and drink is not allowed inside the main exhibition of the Museum.
  • Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is not allowed in the Museum.
  • The disposal of any object that will contribute to the pollution of the premises is forbidden.
  • Animals or pets are not allowed in the Museum under any circumstance, except in the case of guide dogs. 
  • The Museum staff may prohibit / interrupt the stay of visitors in case that the Museum Regulations are not observed.
  • Visitors are not allowed to touch the exhibits.
