Summer Camp

An entertaining and educational program, that will keep children physically and mentally busy during summer!

From June 16th to July 29th and from August 29th to September 9th, children aged 6-12 years old will explore, learn, play and reinforce their skills, through interactive tours, sports activities, experiential games and creative workshops.

The program of the Athens Olympic Museum Summer Camp offers to children the opportunity to learn the Values of Olympism, the achievements of Olympic Champions and major athletes - some of whom will have the chance to meet in person- and motivates them to engage in Athletics.

During Summer Camp, children will have fun in art plays, will learn martial arts and participate in art workshops, where they will create unique memorabilia with recyclable materials inspired by the history of Olympic Games. Meanwhile, they will have the opportunity to tour in the Museum’s main exhibition and learn about the major milestones in the history of the Olympic Games, starting from the Antiquity to the present day. This year’s daily program of the Summer Camp’s daily includes also sports such as track and field sports, beach volley, swimming, climbing, tennis, and numerous games that enhance children’s motor coordination, balance, rhythm, perception and cooperation.

On the occasion of the International Olympic Day on June 23rd, Nikos Kaklamanakis the two-times Greek Olympic Champion,  will visit the Museum, to meet and greed with children, share with them his valuable experience and talk about the value of athletics.

The registration process is handled by “The Project Company” responsible for the Summer Camp event organization.

*The participation fee for each child is determined by the company organizing the event.
