Between The Lines

The Athens Olympic Museum offers its visitors a new way to delve deeper into the exhibits and their stories!

By using your personal smart devices (mobile phone or tablet), you can scan special symbols found on 40 selected exhibits from the permanent collection and discover additional related material. Photos, videos, stories, and information will appear on your screen.

The app was developed by Smartify and works as a complement to the permanent exhibition. While you are inside the Museum, you can scan the special symbol at the entrance and digitally explore the selected exhibits, or you can find and scan the special symbols within the exhibition itself.

The continuous enrichment of the app provides visitors with a multi-layered and personalized experience, as everyone can tailor the information intake to their interests and available time. At the same time, the app functions as a treasure hunt game, making the visit more experiential and engaging.

We recommend bringing headphones with you and ensuring your device’s battery is fully charged.

*Note: The exhibits do not appear in the app if you are outside the Museum premises.
