Olympic Day 2024

The Athens Olympic Museum, steadfast in its mission to promote sports, celebrates Olympic Day on Sunday, June 23, by joining the global initiative under the motto “Let’s Move”, offering free admission for everyone from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Olympic Day is a worldwide celebration of sport, health, and togetherness. The central idea behind the “Let’s Move” campaign is the integration of physical activity into our daily lives. In 2023, with the support of over 1,000 athletes and more than 235 Olympic organizations, the “Let’s Move” movement inspired over 15 million people to embrace the joy of sports and an active, healthy lifestyle.
In 2024, as we approach the Olympic Games in Paris, we enthusiastically embrace this initiative and invite both children and adults to the Athens Olympic Museum to learn about the history of the Olympic Games, admire personal items and medals of Greek athletes who made us proud and etched their names into our country’s history, and find inspiration to make exercise a part of their daily routine.
At the same time, in honor of this Olympic year, the Athens Olympic Museum is proud to host the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch as part of its permanent exhibition. All visitors will have the opportunity to see the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch up close and take photos with it.
