Remaining faithful to its mission and vision of promoting sport and the values of the Olympic Movement, the Athens Olympic Museum celebrates Olympic Day on Monday, June 23rd, joining the global initiative of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) under the slogan “Let’s Move? Let’s Move.” On this day, the Museum offers free admission throughout the day and free group guided tours from 11:00 to 13:00.
Dedicated to the Olympic Games, this year’s global initiative, “Let’s Move? Let’s Move,” addresses people of all ages, encouraging participation, physical activity, and movement. Its goal is to inspire both children and adults to adopt a more active daily routine and a healthier lifestyle.
On the occasion of Olympic Day, on Monday, June 23rd, the Athens Olympic Museum invites visitors to explore its permanent exhibition and discover the Olympic history of Athens through the free themed guided tour “Agon, Classic Researcher.”
With the help of the free printed guide “ATHENS, the Olympic Capital ‘Hidden’ in the Museum,” visitors are guided through 25 stops within the permanent exhibition, highlighting 35 locations in Athens with a strong Olympic legacy.
